ArtFutura

Spain's main digital festival, ArtFutura, delves into the world of new media, videogames and animation. Every year, it brings the latest design projects and innovations to major cities in Spain. The Barcelona leg is held at Mercat de les Flors.

In 2008, ArtFutura gives an in-depth review of the exhibition Máquinas&Almas (Machines&Souls), previously showcased at the Reina Sofía contemporary art gallery in Madrid. Máquinas&Almas explores the modern day relationship between art and science and how, like the title, the gap between 'machines' and 'souls' is getting scarily narrower.

The ArtFutura programme also includes workshops, interactive installations and live performances.
