Kosmopolis

Barcelona's Contemporary Culture Centre of Barcelona presents Kosmopolis, a biennial literature festival open to all genres. The fifth edition in 2008 features exhibitions, installations, lectures and more, all centred on the theme of global crisis.

As ever, the festival puts emphasis on certain literary lights. The influence of JG Ballard (author of Crash and Empire of the Sun) is explored in a series of round-table discussions, videos and the exhibition Autopsy of the New Millennium. There are also special activities to commemorate 100 years since the birth of Catalan poet Agustí Bartra.
